Interview with Jean Louise Finch(Scout)
Q: So Miss Finch, how long have you lives in Maycomb County?
A: Call me Scout. Well anyways, I have lived here all my life. :]
Q: Scout, tell me about life with your family.
A: I have a brother named Jem, and he is older than me so I am not allowed to talk to him at school. My daddys name is Atticus, and he is lawyer. He is a really nice guy, because he doesn't care about the color of anyones skin like most of the people in this town do. Then there is Calpurnia, I guess she is a part of my family, because she is at my house all the time. She might not be the same race as me, but she has been there for me like a mother and I love her all the same.
Q: What do people do when they find out that your dad isnt racist?
A: Well they dont do much about it, i mean, they still like him, but we have ran into people that care a lot about that. For example, my cousin Francis. He was really making me mad when he was making fun of my dad for defending a negro. It almost hurt my feeling a bit.
Q: Tell me about the neighborhood?
A: Well the neighborhood is nice, and the naeighbors don't bug me much, but there is one neighbor that is very strange. His name is Boo Radley. He never comes out of his house. Rumor has it that he took a pair of scissors and stabbed his dad with them. One day when Dill was in town, we went to investigate at the Radley house and Mr. Radley shot at us. It was scary.
Q: Do you have any interest in boys, a boyfriend or anything?

A: Well you see, my momma died a while back, but we never talk about it.

Q: Do you have any interest in boys, a boyfriend or anything?
A: (blushing) Well there is a boy named Dill. He is mighty fine. When he comes back to stay at his aunts house, we are gonna get married. He promised that he would come back for me.
Q: Do you enjoy school?
A: Well, I don't hate it, but my teacher isn't my favorite. When i came in the first day, she yelled at me because i could read and write, and she didn't like that. I wanted to knock the daylights outta her!
Q: Are you normally that aggresive?
A: Yessum, I fight a lot, and my aunt says I need to act more like a girl. I have always been a tom boy, and she is not gonna change that!
Q: Well thank you for taking time out of your day to speak with me.
A: No problem. Come back anytime.
